CCSN Volunteers

The staff of CCSN relies heavily on support from community volunteers within our region to help with every aspect of our stranding response program. Our volunteers are the eyes and ears of the Network and provide countless hours of service to CCSN and the animals in need. When CCSN receives stranding reports on the Emergency Hotline, CCSN staff members immediately send out a volunteer to confirm the report. Volunteers are trained in marine mammal health assessment, supportive care, and data collection. They also provide support for educational programs, outreach activities, necropsies, and fundraising. CCSN also maintains an active intern program for current college students and graduates.
